No one can take the daily grind away from us, with each day we get one little step closer to our dreams. If we treat that effort like we would treat the masterpiece we imagine in the future, we can make that journey seem so much shorter. It really isn’t about the destination, it’s about our experiences getting there, because that’s all we’re left with in the end.

I remember well the last time I got completely demolished — it wasn’t even a fight. I was unprepared, cocky and overestimated my knowledge and mental strength. I’m not afraid to admit it, I got my fucking ass handed to me… but a few days, maybe a couple of weeks and I was back on the horse. Sure bruised, and definitely humbled, but I was back at it. Personally, I can’t imagine how many decisions were affected by myself being terrified of a bad outcome. Failure isn’t just a learning experience, it gives that little extra spice to our lives, and makes our wins taste just that much sweeter and more meaningful. I once thought about eating steak every day of my life, because the first time I tried it, it tasted so damn good. But the quickest way to ruin good steak is to eat it every fucking day.
