Those of us who see everything as a challenge will risk it all to overcome whatever is thrown at us, and yet, it makes all the sense in the world to ask ourselves why negative shit happens to us. It’s tough to be upbeat all the time, and of course there are days we don’t want to get out of bed. Just as long as at the end of the day, we still have fight in us — all is not lost!

No matter how experienced we are at the work we do, there is always something around the corner that can knock us the fuck out. Luckily, all that hard work and experience has made us wise enough to understand that no matter how invincible we may feel — we must always expect the worst. Knowing full well that the punch that knocks us to the ground may happen at any time and the only solution is to get back up and keep fighting.

It’s a learning experience, and we must never forget that each failure gives us a lot of feedback on how we can improve ourselves and our strategies. As for those sweet, sweet wins, we must celebrate them, because early on they may be some of the only motivational help we get.

How many people have you had passionate conversations with in the past year that expressed their dreams of success and yet took no action to turn them into reality? I bet there is at least one or two in every scenario. There is a point where talking about what you’re going to do is just part of the excitement, and yet that excitement wears off and the reality of actually having to work really fucking hard to get there kicks in. Without truly believing we can do it, action will never follow.

Those of us who are lucky enough to be passionate about the things we do professionally are the ones that know how unbelievably incredible it feels to get paid for doing the things you would be willing to do for free.
