It’s very easy to get distracted by the things that can never give us purpose; comparing wealth, fame, material possessions and even virtues is just a way to give us either a sense of pride, or a sense of resentment. Purpose on the other hand will captivate, it will encourage and motivate. What’s your purpose?

Fight or flight, lizard brain, or that gut wrenching feeling inside us when we imagine getting close to our dreams is absolutely natural, and yet it’s what is likely keeping us from making those difficult decisions. Luckily, the more time we spend on our passion, the less effective that stress becomes at holding us back.

I think comfort is all about the known, a daily routine, and not much left to surprise. It’s all about being absolutely and utterly content with ones own state of affairs. I guess I would call it retirement, but hey, until then I am not willing to live in “comfort”, instead I’m willing to do anything I can to hold back retirement for as long as I can.

No matter what we may think at the moment, the hard times we are experiencing are truly nothing compared to some of the less fortunate among us. I think the biggest thing we lack sometimes is appreciation, just the fact that we are able to scroll through these photos and enjoy the experience is something many of us don’t get a chance to do.
