We all want the things we create to be perfect. We spend countless hours chasing the perfect blog post, the perfect image, or video, or that perfect end result only to be disappointed that just a day later we come back to it and notice flaws. There comes a point that in order for us to flourish, we must focus on the fact that we need room to improve, and that imperfection is something we need to embrace.

I think it’s really important to know the difference between wealth and success. Those who truly earned their success are the ones who still have the remnants of shit stains on those old pairs of pants from the time they conquered their fears and fought for their dreams. Whether we like it or not, risks that scare the shit out of us will test our willpower and mold us into successful entrepreneurs, and for those who can’t stomach it, maybe it’s better to keep that day job.

Do you know of a single successful entrepreneur that wasn’t passionate about what they did — and didn’t spend ungodly amounts of time perfecting their craft? It’s incredible how many “entrepreneurs” out there think that they can find overnight success with very little effort and no passion. Success doesn’t come to the impatient and lazy, because success isn’t something that can be found, like pirate treasure, instead it’s a by-product of our hard work and dedication.

Successful people often say, “find something that you love doing and get good enough at it so that you can get paid for an activity you’re not only good at, but truly enjoy doing!” Well shit, playing an RPG game is practically the same thing, except of course it’s all make-believe. When we step away from our game(s), the XP we earned, the items we found, the progress we made… nothing follows us out. So that’s kind of sad, but at the same time uplifting, because if we want our dreams to become reality, we need to play in the real world.

Those of us who see everything as a challenge will risk it all to overcome whatever is thrown at us, and yet, it makes all the sense in the world to ask ourselves why negative shit happens to us. It’s tough to be upbeat all the time, and of course there are days we don’t want to get out of bed. Just as long as at the end of the day, we still have fight in us — all is not lost!
