Happy Friday everyone!

Welcome to the “weekly round-up” post from our ever-growing community of bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, and other content creators. Each and every week we hand-pick five top posts from a pool of the highest voted user-submitted/created posts in the community and include them in this weekly “listicle” blog post, along with the newsletter for all of our blog subscribers.

Here are this week’s (Oct 14 – Oct 20, 2017) most valuable posts from the /t/BES content creators community:

1. The Only Person You Should Try To Please Is Your 80 Year Old Self…
“I’m constantly in doubt about pretty much everything. I’m even in doubt whether I should right this right here. Whether I should even have started writing this book right here. It took me 10 minutes to fight my doubts until I finally started writing this piece right here…”

2. The War To Sell You A Mattress Is An Internet Nightmare
“One day in the spring of 2016 I mentioned to a friend that I needed a new mattress. Mine was a sunken hand-me-down that had become about as comfortable as concrete. “I know a guy who can give you a free mattress,” my friend said. This sounded too good..”

3. How to Write Well: 10 Timeless Rules
“Writing is easy. Most people can do it. If you’re reading this, you can write. But can you write well? Does your writing connect with people? Does it engage readers, compelling them down the page? Does your writing inspire action, selling things or services or ideas?”

4. My Challenge To You
“It’s 2017. Keep grinding. Keep hustling. You know all the cliché shit, but most of all, figure yourself out. Everybody’s trying to make you fix all your shortcomings, fuck your shortcomings. Triple down on your strengths. What do you want? Whatever it may be…”

5. How to Start Guest Blogging When You Are Completely Unknown
“I’ve got some hard news for you… It may come as a surprise. If you’re getting less than 250 website visitors a day, your priority should be writing for other people’s blogs, not your own. Why’s that, you say? Well, because when you have low visitor numbers…”

These look like some stunning resources. Gary Vee is always on point and I do live like my 80 year old self. Like Gary, and all inspired folks, I literally do not put stuff off but in the same regard I enjoy the ride. Delicate dance I am getting better at doing, but it has been the key to me having fun and to have some online success too. A little success here and there 🙂
