Happy Friday everyone!
Welcome to another weekly round-up post from our growing community of bloggers, writers, vloggers, podcasters, and other fellow content creators. Each and every week we hand-pick five top posts from a pool of the highest voted user-submitted/created posts in the community and include them in this weekly round-up blog post, along with the newsletter for all of our e-mail subscribers.
Here are this week’s (June 16 – June 22, 2018) most valuable posts from the /t/BES content creators community:
1. Don’t Be Scared of Being Repetitive.
One of the main arguments people use again the idea that a higher quantity of production also leads to higher quality, is the idea of repetitiveness. All creatives know this.
2. Web Comic: How to Create Killer Content and Make People Happy
Artist John P. Weiss created an awesome cartoon guide about not shoving invasive ads and too many CTAs (call-to-actions) all over the place in your writing and/or other content.
3. The Three Most Important Lessons I Have Learned About Creativity
I’ve been blogging consistently for two years now. Today I would like to share the three most important lessons I have learned in that time about creativity.
4. Instagram Launches IGTV Video Hub for Creators
Instagram is ready to compete head on with YouTube. Today at a flashy event in San Francisco, it’s announcing it will begin allowing videos up to 1 hour in length, up from 1 minute.
5. The 24 Hour Comic Challenge!
In 2017, youtuber/creator STIMULUS attempted Scott McCloud’s 24 hour create-a-comic challenge. He impressively expands his art into comic form, documents it, and makes a video about it.
That’s all folks! You can view all the rest of the community’s top submissions (11 more) here.
Tune in next Friday for another great weekend reading list that will make you a better and more informed blogger, writer, and/or content creator! If you have anything awesome to submit that others might enjoy, feel free to do so!
